Never

Play the game of cliques and circles
Run the race
Jump through hoops

Use knowledge to advantage
Climb the ladder of bones
Pour salt on slugs

Strive for imperfection
Put butterflies in jars to die
And I'm never gonna tell you why

Ode to Death

The ocean of life has a leak
The notion of strife for the weak

Drop, drip
Where do they go?
Clop, clip
I can’t say no

My tiny boat has no paddle
My whiny beast has no saddle

Away they went
Nothing I could do
Time to repent
I’m waiting for you

Of Old Cars and Grandfathers

My new old car died today.
Poor little car, tired little machine.
The mechanics said there was nothing they could do.
Expensive pieces of plastic and metal
Refuse to carry me any further.

My nice old Grandfather died today.
Kindhearted old man, tired old carcass.
The doctors said there was nothing they could do.
Cheap pieces of flesh and bone
Refuse to carry your soul for long.
